The 2020 “Billboard Latin Music Awards” came and left at a wink of an eye. The three hour award show was held at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida with a limited audience and precautions.
This year it was two Puerto Ricans from the island that left with the most Billboard award statues. The one and only 'founder' and 'believer' of reggaeton Daddy Yankee. Of his 12 nominations, he was awarded seven which included the Billboard Latin Song of the Decade Award for “Despacito” alongside Luis Fonsi. Bad Bunny, the urban sensation for the past few years who was one of the top nominees also garnered seven awards of his 14 nominations.

Solamente faltan dos meses y media para cerrar el año covid-19, y ya otra premiación está llevando a cabo ensayos esta semana. Los ensayos para los “Premios Billboard de la Música Latina” 2020 ya van en viento en popa en el BB&T Center en Sunrise, Florida.
Paulina Rubio, Luis Fonsi, Raymix, Tempo, Jay Wheeler, Yandel, El Alfa y Carlos Vives son los primeros artistas que han ensayado para su presentación en vivo que tendrá lugar este miércoles 21 de octubre durante los “Premios Billboard de la Música Latina.” La premiación de mayor trayectoria y prestigio en la industria de la música latina se transmitirá en vivo por Telemundo, comenzando a las 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT con “La Alfombra de Premios Billboard”, y seguido a las 8 p.m./7 CT con la gala de premiación.

With only two and a half months left to close out the covid-19 year, another award show is undergoing rehearsals this week. Rehearsals for the 2020 “Billboard Latin Music Awards” are underway at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida.
Paulina Rubio, Luis Fonsi, Raymix, Tempo, Jay Wheeler, Yandel, El Alfa and Carlos Vives are the first in rehearsing for the award show to air this Wednesday, October 21 on Telemundo starting at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT. “The Billboard Awards Carpet” will take place at 7 p.m.ET/6 CT just before the award show.
The “Billboard Latin Music Awards” will also broadcast simultaneously on Spanish entertainment cable network, Universo and throughout the Americas on Telemundo Internacional.

The “Billboard Latin Music Awards” will honor and award the 2020 Billboard Latin Song of the Decade during its award show Wednesday, October 21. The fortunate honorees and deserving are the Puerto Rican international renowned artists Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee for their worldwide hit “Despacito.”
The success of “Despacito” set the chart topping longevity mark on Hot Latin Songs when it spent 42 weeks at No. 1 on the February 17, 2018 dated tally, surpassing the 41-week reign of Enrique Iglesias' “Bailando,” with Descemer Bueno and Gente de Zona, in 2014 to 2015. “Despacito” topped Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart for a record 56 (non-consecutive) weeks, the most weeks at No. 1 for any title since the chart’s inception in 1986. In May 2017, “Despacito” also made history at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart - which includes songs of all genres - tying the then all time mark for 16 weeks at No. 1 set by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s with “One Sweet Day” in 1996.
Luis Fonsi, a finalist for four awards, including Latin Pop Artist of the Year, Solo, and Top Latin Album of the Year for “Vida,” just released his new single “Perfecta” with fellow compatriot Farruko. While Daddy Yankee, a finalist for 12 awards this year including Hot Latin Song of the Year for “Con Calma,” arrives at the awards after signing a multimillion-dollar deal with Universal Music Group and releasing his new song “Don Don,” featuring Anuel AA and Kendo Kaponi. Not only are the two Puerto Rican stars due the honors, in addition, they will be performing.

The 2020 “E! People’s Choice Awards” categories and its nominees
have been revealed. The awards celebrates all forms of entertainment, chosen
entirely by the people. In each of the 44 categories, fans worldwide can choose
from eight nominees representing movies, television, music and pop
culture.
The telecast will celebrate an unprecedented year in pop culture,
while bringing together the entertainment community and its fans to honor
champions and heroes who’ve inspired us throughout the year. Broadcasting from
Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA, “E! People’s Choice Awards,” airs Sunday,
November 15 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, with “Live from the Red Carpet: The 2020 E!
People’s Choice Awards” at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT. As previously announced, Jennifer
Lopez will be honored with the People’s Icon of 2020 award. This year’s
new categories include The New Artist of 2020, The Collaboration Song of
2020, and The Soundtrack Song of 2020.
Voting for the 44 categories across movies, television, music, and
pop culture runs through Friday, October 23 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Fans can either
vote online at pca.eonline.com, via Twitter or for select categories on Xfinity
X1 by saying “Vote for the People’s Choice Awards” into the Xfinity Voice
Remote. Fans can vote up to 25 times per method, per category, per day if they
vote via online or Twitter. If fans vote with Xfinity X1, there is a limit of
25 times per ballot, per Xfinity X1 device, per candidate for the duration of
the official voting window. Additionally, votes casted on Thursday, October 15
will count twice, equaling up to a maximum of 50 votes per day, per category,
per voting method. Xfinity voting will be equal to a maximum of 50 votes for the
entire Official Voting Window.
