The SESAC Latina Music Awards 2017 celebrated another successful year at its annual gala held at the Beverly Hills Hotel. SESAC Latina, the most progressive music rights organization in the nation, and its songwriters and publishers had a record hit of 17 #1 songs on various Billboard charts in 2016.
Besides the award presentation, singer-songwriter and actor Jencarlos Canela performed his two awarded songs, “Baby” and “Pa’Que Me Invitan”, Panamanian singer-songwriter; Erika Ender performed a medley of “Ataúd” and “Despacito;” and La Séptima Banda performed a medley of their biggest hits.
Some of the 2017 SESAC Latin Music Award winners were:
- Songwriter of the Year – Luciano Luna, has won the award for the fourth year in a row
- Song of the Year - “Si No Es Contigo” written by Luciano Luna
- SESAC Latina Crossover Song of the Year - “Hasta El Amanecer” by Nicky Jam
- Producer of the Year - Rafael Arcaute
- Publisher of the Year - Sony /ATV Sounds LLC
