Univision’s highly awaited annual youth awards show “Premios Juventud” returns for its 16th year on Thursday, July 18, 2019 live from Watsco Center in Miami. The nominees were revealed during an exclusive Facebook Live on Premios Juventud's Facebook page. This year's top nominees include Maluma (8), Bad Bunny (7), Daddy Yankee (7), Anuel AA (6), Becky G (6), J Balvin (6), Karol G (6), and Ozuna (5). Voting is now open until June 4. To vote click here. Among the 24 new categories featured this year, the new music categories include “The New Urban Generation” (La Nueva Generación Urbana) and “The New Regional Mexican Generation” (La Nueva Generación Regional Mexicano). New digital and social media categories include “Can’t Get Enough” which includes fan favorite artists on social media and “Couples that Fire Up My Feed” which includes social media power couples. “On the Rise” celebrates fresh faces who are well on their way to building their social media audience and “Living Your Best Life” honors an influencer who speaks on behalf of a just cause. Additional new categories include “High Fashion” recognizing artists who dress all out for the red carpets, “Hair Obsessed” and “Shoe-Aholic.” “Sick Dance Routine” recognizing outstanding foot work in front of the camera while “This is a BTS” recognizes engaging content behind the scenes.
“Premios Juventud” aims to inspire, motivate and empower Latino youth to become leaders for change. This year, awards will celebrate the current trends in pop culture, music, digital, fashion, television and social media.
