The Latin Recording Academy celebrated its 2023 Person of the Year Gala honoring the Italian renown Laura Pausini. The gala was held Wednesday, November 15 at the Conference and Exhibition Centre (FIBES) in Sevilla, Spain. Its the first time the gala was held outside of the United States and a first for Spain.
Recipient of both a Latin Grammy and a Grammy, Laura Pausini was honored for her career as a multifaceted, multi-lingual performer as well as for her continued commitment to supporting social justice causes that are close to her heart including equality for women and LGBTQ+ people and world hunger. The evening was a celebration of friendship through music, with many of Pausini’s closest friends and collaborators taking the stage to serenade her.

Before Luis Fonsi presented Pausini with the Latin Grammy Person of the Year Award, a star studded tribute of thirteen performances was enjoyed by all the attendees. The opening performance was by Alejandro Sanz featuring a flamenco-infused rendition of “Bienvenido.” Others that performed were Niña Pastori and Malú’s with a version of “La Soledad,” a rock version of “Entre tú y mil Mares” by Bebe and Reik, a vallenato rendition of “Quiero decirte que te Amo” with Carlos Vives, Fonseca and Silvestre Dangond.
Also to mention the moving father-daughter duet of “El valor de seguir Adelante” with Pepe and Angela Aguilar. Andrea Bocelli gave an unforgettable interpretation of “She (Uguale a Lei)” and the list goes on.

The 2023 Billboard Latin Music Awards' rehearsals have begun. Here is a sneak peak of a few artists that have rehearsed for the award show to be held this Thursday, October 5 at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida.

The 30th annual Billboard Latin Music Awards is set for Oct. 5 at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, FL. It will be broadcasted live on Telemundo, and simultaneously on the Spanish entertainment cable network Universo, on Peacock and the Telemundo app. Throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, it will be available on Telemundo Internacional.
As for the nominees the Mexican music sensation Peso Pluma leads the list of finalists for the 2023 Billboard Latin Music Awards, with 21 nods across 15 categories. Following Peso Pluma are Bad Bunny and Grupo Frontera with 15 nods each. While five of Frontera’s entries are for “Bebe Dame.” The group’s collab with Bad Bunny, “un X100to,” has four nods.
For a second year in a row, Karol G is the female artist with the highest number of entries on the list of finalists. The Colombian star has 13 nods in the same number of categories. Her collaboration with Shakira, “TQG,” is up for five awards which puts Shakira with a total of 12 nominations.

The 2023 iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina returns to Miami, Florida at Kaseya Center on Saturday, October 21 starting at 8:00 p.m. It will mark the 10th year of the concert that celebrates the power of Latin music in popular culture.
This year as it's customary with a star-studded slate of performances featuring Olga Tanon, Ricardo Montaner, Fonseca, Yandel, Servando y Florentino, Luis Figueroa, GALE, Menudo and iHeartRadio Corazón Award recipient Chayanne. Enrique Santos will once again host the tenth annual event.
In addition to performing, Chayanne will receive the iHeartRadio Corazón Latino Award, which honors an individual who exemplifies their big heart through their selfless work enhancing the lives of the Latin community and beyond. Chayanne, a world renowned Puerto Rican singer-songwriter, TV star and actor, has solidified his success with more than 50 million albums sold, sold-out tours and hundreds of music industry awards.
Outside of music, Chayanne uses his voice to shine a light on organizations he is passionate about. He was a spokesperson for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and has been involved in the Make-A-Wish Foundation, United Nations Human Rights for Climate Change, Women Refugees Commission, Heroes Por la Vida, campaign promoting the importance of being an organ donor, and Teleton in Mexico, Chile and the U.S.
Additionally, he is an active member of the cabinet for the American Red Cross, from whom he received the Crystal Cross Award in 2018. Chayanne has also participated in the American Red Cross’ 100 Days of Summer campaign since 2014 to encourage the Latin community to donate blood.

Two females were the top winners for the 2023 "Latin American Music Awards" (Latin AMAs). Karol G won eight awards followed by Becky G with four awards. They also took the awards for their duo together "Mamiii" - Song of the Year and Collaboration of the Year. Bad Bunny who was the top nominee took home three awards. Junior H, Rosalía, Shakira, Romeo Santos and The Weeknd received two awards reach.

The 2023 Latin American Music Awards has revealed the full list of nominees for the Latin American Music Awards (Latin AMAs). Nominations for the Latin AMAs are based on streaming, sales, radio airplay, tours, and even social media interactions data provided by Billboard and Luminate during the eligibility period (February 12, 2022, through February 4, 2023.) This year’s nominations highlight artists spanning all genres of Latin music within 26 categories including nine general categories, five regional Mexican, and four categories focused on pop, urban, and tropical music.
The “Premio Lo Nuestro” 2023 winners were revealed during the three hour award show and online this past Thursday, February 23. This year's theme was El Mundo Es Lo Nuestro (The World is Ours) and was broadcasted live from Miami-Dade Arena (formerly FTX Arena) on Univision.

What an epic kick off to the 2023 Recording Academy "Grammy Awards." The Latinos celebrated big during the annual awards representing in nominations, performances, and as presenters.
The opening number for the "Grammy Awards" was in the hands of the renown Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny who was up for three nominations. Earlier in the day, the Colombian Carlos Vives performed at the Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony where five of the six Latin award categories were awarded.

The 35th award show will be broadcasted live from Miami-Dade Arena (formerly FTX Arena) on Univision Thursday, February 23 at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT. In addition, it will simulcast on Galavision in the U.S. and on Channel 5 in Mexico.
