Ya los artistas están casi preparados para la gran apertura de “Premios Tu Música Urbano” que se celebrará en la isla del encanto Puerto Rico. La premiación será este jueves el 23 de junio desde las 7 p.m. Este/6 p.m. Centro.
Hasta hoy día los ensayos siguen. Jay Wheeler, N’Klabe, Funk, Salsa Urban, El Gemelo, Miky Woodz y Victor Manuelle se han hecho presentes para su presentación en vivo en los “Premios Tu Música Urbano”. El evento musical que se transmitirá por primera vez en vivo por Telemundo desde San Juan Puerto Rico, reconocerá lo mejor de la música urbana latina y rendirá tributo a los artistas más destacados de este movimiento que trascendió las calles de Puerto Rico y sigue prevaleciendo en todo el mundo con fusiones de música pop, tropical y regional mexicano.

“Premio Lo Nuestro” rendirá tributo a la estrella de la música y creador de La Fania, el difunto Johnny Pacheco. El tributo llevará la voz del Caballero de la Salsa Gilberto Santa Rosa y se le unirá otro salsero José Alberto El Canario.
El reconocido productor musical Sergio George y el flautista Néstor Torres también serán parte del homenaje. Durante el tributo se reconocerán las canciones “Quítate Tu,” “Mi Gente,” “Los Compadres” y “Guaguancó Pa’l que Sabe.”
El difunto Johnny Pacheco falleció el lunes 15 de febrero de 2021 en el Centro Medico Holy Name en Teaneck, Nueva Jersey. El artista dominicano quien fue criado en Nueva York y vivió en Nueva Jersey fue hospitalizado por complicaciones derivado de neumonía según fuentes.
The most prestigious and longest-running awards show in Latin music, the "Billboard Latin Music Awards," finally has a new date. The long awaited music award show has been rescheduled to Wednesday, October 21.
Due to the outbreak of Covid-19, the "Billboard Latin Music Awards" was postponed from its original accustomed April date. It will be broadcasted live from the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida instead of Las Vegas starting first with the red carpet at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT followed by the music award show at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT.
The three-hour music award show will have five different stages to accommodate multiple live performances by today’s top Latin artists. They will honor the most popular albums, songs and performers in Latin music. A digital experience is also a major factor this year so fans can be directly involved. The show will celebrate Latin music’s finest, and honor this year’s finalists, which include Bad Bunny, Ozuna, Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Karol G, Christian Nodal, Banda MS, Rosalía, Luis Fonsi and Romeo Santos, among others.
“Music continues to be a uniting force that transcends all boundaries to bring audiences together and provide much-needed entertainment for the entire family,” said Ronald Day, Executive Vice President of Entertainment for Telemundo. “Today, more than ever, we are thrilled to be able to bring our viewers this year’s Billboard Latin Music Awards in a one-of-a-kind event to commemorate and celebrate our most beloved Latin stars with a night full of music and surprises for everyone.”
The "Billboard Latin Music Awards" winners are determined by the actual sales, streaming, radio airplay and social data that informs Billboard's weekly charts during a one-year period from the rankings dated February 2, 2019 through this year's January 25 charts. The winners are revealed during the "Billboard Latin Music Awards" telecast on Telemundo, on Spanish entertainment cable network, Universo and throughout the Americas on Telemundo Internacional.
The music awards coincides with Billboard’s Latin Music Week in which this year will entail a three-day virtual experience from October 20 through October 23 dedicated to Latin music, culture, and entertainment. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the event will feature intimate artist conversations, industry panels, exclusive performances and among other interesting sessions.

Llane one of a few performers rehearsing for the annual summer award show
For some events, “the show must go on.” Despite many entertainment events being cancelled or postponed due to Covid-19, “Premios Juventud” is going on as planned.
With changes and in compliance for everyone's safety, the annual summer award show rehearsals are underway at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL.
The artists who have rehearsed so far include:
Ally Brooke returns to “Premios Juventud” as a solo artist after previously performing with Fifth Harmony.
Greeicy who has one nomination will perform a special musical number.
A memorable and emotional moment was also rehearsed within the show where Selena's musical legacy will be celebrated. The artists participating in this special are Ally Brooke, Danna Paola, Greeicy and Natti Natasha.
Jay Wheeler, the promising young singer, will perform at “Premios Juventud” for the first time, bringing romantic touches of reggaeton to the big stage.
Natti Natasha who has three nominations joins the celebration with a special performance.
The young Colombian singer Pitizion will perform for the first time “Premios Juventud”.
The sensational duo, Mau y Ricky, will premiere on television their latest single, “Papás”. Mau and Ricky have two nominations.
The young and dynamic Mexican regional music singer and a nominee, Neto Bernal, who performed at PJ Live en Casa this summer will also perform at “Premios Juventud”.
“Premios Juventud”will be hosted by Julissa Calderón, Ana Patricia Gámez, Francisca Lachapel, Borja Voces and Sebastián Yatra, beginning with the one-hour pre-show program PJ Takeover, hosted by Amara La Negra, Jomari Goyso and Migbelis Castellanos starting at 7 p.m. East/Pacific (6 p.m. Central) on Univision.
Univision’s highly awaited “Premios Juventud” (Youth Awards) kicks off a new era announcing the nominees for this year’s show. To celebrate Latin music and culture, “Premios Juventud” features memorable performances with the hottest stars and emerging talent, uniting all through the power of music. Renowned for honoring those individuals making a difference with the Agents of Change award, this year the show will recognize everyday heroes of the pandemic and people leading social change but with a different twist - a live virtual award show with a virtual audience.

The 17th edition of “Premios Juventud” includes 140 nominees in 28 different categories with J Balvin leading with 12 nominations, followed by Karol G (9), Bad Bunny (8), Anuel AA (7), Daddy Yankee and Manuel Turizo (5), Banda MS, Maluma, and Sebastián Yatra (4).
