34th 'Premio Lo Nuestro Awards' rehearsal photos

The 34th “Premio Lo Nuestro Awards” rehearsals kicked off this Monday. Check out a few photos of the artists scheduled to perform live this Thursday, February 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central). The award show will be televised on Univision with Yuri, David Bisbal, Alejandra Espinoza and Gabriel Soto as hosts.

The 34th edition of “Premio Lo Nuestro” will host a joyful and optimistic celebration of today, the present. This year's theme is Vive El Momento (Live The Moment). The show will bring families together, delivering a spectacle full of memorable musical moments with Latin music's biggest stars performing their hottest songs for the year, never before seen collaborations, and honoring the music from our past.

“Premio Lo Nuestro” will air live from Miami’s FTX Arena on Thursday, Feb. 24 with the “Noche de Estrellas” pre-show beginning at 7 p.m. ET/PT on Univision.

Who is performing at 'Premio Lo Nuestro' 2021

With just a week away to celebrate cautiously the 33rd edition of “Premio Lo Nuestro,” Univision is ready to celebrate music, resilience, and hope in the new year.

The award show will be televised live from the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami on Thursday February 18. It will kick off with the stars arrival to the magenta carpet during “Premio Lo Nuestro’s” pre-show “Noche de Estrellas” starting at 7 p.m. ET on Univision.

Presenting fans the best in Latin Music and Latino culture will be “Premio Lo Nuestro” hosts Chiquinquirá Delgado, Jose Ron, and Yuri, who was the first female artist to present an award in the first edition of “Premio Lo Nuestro” in 1989.

This ceremony honors airplay on Uforia radio during the eligibility period (October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020), as well as on streaming.

The nominees for “Premio Lo Nuestro” 2021 have been revealed. This year the annual music award show will feature a celebration of life with hope, culture and the best in Latin music. The show will air live from Miami’s AmericanAirlines Arena on Thursday, February 18 starting at 7 p.m. ET/PT (6 p.m. CT) on Univision with the return of the popular magenta carpet in the pre-show “Noche de Estrellas.”

Latin music superstars Alejandro Fernández, Bad Bunny, Camilo, Christian Nodal, J Balvin, Karol G, Maluma, Natti Natasha, Ozuna, and Sebastián Yatra are nominated for this year’s “Premio Lo Nuestro” Artist of the Year. The list of nominees is led by J Balvin with 14 nominations, followed by Maluma with 12, Camilo with 10, Ozuna with eight and Anuel, Bad Bunny, Karol G, Natti Natasha, Sebastian Yatra and Sech with seven each. Fans can vote for their favorite artist here until Monday, January 25 at midnight ET/PT.

Four new categories were added to reflect the growth of Latin music and its popularity. The four categories are: Album of the Year in Pop, Album of the Year in Urban, Album of the Year in Mexican Regional and Cumbia Song of the Year in Mexican Regional. A total of 147 artists are nominated in 34 music categories in four music genres (Pop, Urban, Tropical, and Regional Mexican).

The 2019 Latin Grammy Awards' performers are...

The Latin Recording Academy has added additional performers to the 20th Annual Latin Grammy Awards show. Beto Cuevas, Alicia Keys, Miguel, Residente, Calibre 50, Farruko, Leonel García, Ozuna, Fito Páez, Milly Quezada, Tony Succar, Carlos Rivera, and Prince Royce will entertain the attendees and of course their fans.

They join previously announced artists: Pepe Aguilar, Aitana, Anitta, Paula Arenas, Bad Bunny, Camilo, Pedro Capó, Alessia Cara, Julio Reyes Copello, Kany García, Darell, De La Ghetto, Paula Fernandes, Alejandro Fernandez, Alex Fernandez, Vicente Fernandez, Dimelo Flow, Fonseca, Luis Fonsi, Greeicy, Intocable, Natalia Jimenez, Juanes,  Los Angeles Azules, Mariachi Sol de Mexico de José Hernandez, Nella, Christian Nodal, Reik, Draco Rosa, Rosalía, Alejandro Sanz, Ximena Sariñana, Sech, Olga Tañón, Tommy Torres, and Sebastian Yatra. Of the performers, a select group of 20 artists will interpret multiple iconic songs spanning various genres of Latin music, while commemorating the past 20 years of excellence and the Latin Grammy Awards' 20th anniversary.

Ricky Martin, alongside internationally renowned actresses Roselyn Sánchez and Paz Vega, will host this years award show. The Latin Grammy Awards will be broadcasted live on the Univision Network Thursday, November 14 starting at p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central) from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Latin Grammy Premiere ceremony lineup presents...

The biggest night in Latin music, the Latin Grammy Premiere ceremony, will kick off with performances by current nominees Anavitória, Cami, Luis Enrique & C4 Trío, and Leiva. In addition, the first Latin Grammy awards of the night - 39 of the 50 Latin Grammy Awards - will be presented by current nominees El David Aguilar, Albita, Flor De Toloache, Andres Gimenez (A.N.I.M.A.L), Mastodonte, Nach, and Nella. Jose Cid this year's Lifetime Achievement Award recipient will also be a presenter. 

The exclusive event to be hosted by singer/songwriter and actress Lali will be broadcasted globally via Latin Grammys Facebook Live on Thursday, November 14 beginning at 4:30 p.m. ET/1:30 p.m. PT from the MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas. Following the Latin Grammy Premiere is the 20th Annual Latin Grammy Awards live on Univision from the MGM Grand Garden Arena starting at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central).  Additionally, the telecast will be distributed internationally to more than 80 countries.
  
This year marks the Latin Grammy Awards' 20th anniversary in which it will showcase a star-studded milestone celebration. It will feature historical moments, reunions, tributes, and one-of-a-kind performances from nominees, past winners, and legends who will come together to honor 20 years of Latin music legacy and excellence.

Latin Grammys Facebook Live will also offer exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage of the 20th Annual Latin Grammy Awards. The live stream will include interviews from various locations, including the red carpet, backstage, and the media center. Highlights of some of the best in 'Premio Lo Nuestro's' 30 years celebration

The 30th edition of Univision’s “Premio Lo Nuestro a la Música Latina” (PLN30) celebrated the best of Latin music this past Thursday at the American Airlines Arena in Downtown Miami, Florida in a spectacle of color and sound that gathered the best artists of all time. Unlike previous galas, PLN30 focused on commemoration rather than competition and featured an extraordinary array of talent onstage of the longest-running Latin award's show.

Highlighting the role of women and sending a message of empowerment, “Premio Lo Nuestro” made history this year by featuring more women than ever. For the first time, three women, Lili Estefan, Alejandra Espinoza and Laura Pausini, hosted the epic night, while Giselle Blondet, Chiquinquirá Delgado and Myrka Dellanos recalled the best PLN moments of the last 30 years as hosts of the magenta carpet. In addition, the female singer with the most PLN awards, Olga Tañón, joined Natalia Jiménez, Victoria “La Mala” and Natti Natasha to salute Latinas everywhere.

Other memorable moments included:

A musical number by award-winning producer Sergio George kicked off the live three-hour transmission with chart-toppers Daddy Yankee, Jhonny Ventura, Laura Pausini, Milly Quezada, Pepe Aguilar, Pitbull, Víctor Manuelle, and Bad Bunny on stage together for the first time.

The evening included a special recognition to the International icons Emilio and Gloria Estefan for their pioneering work as Latin music ambassadors and inspiration for new generations of artists. Leslie Grace, Il Volo and Victor Manuelle took the stage for a medley of the Estefan’s greatest hits.

Banda MS paid an emotional tribute to Mexican singer-songwriter Joan Sebastian and David Bisbal gave an impassioned rendition of José José’s “El Triste,” while Silvestre Dangond sang Lalo Rodríguez’s “Ven Devórame Otra Vez,” the first winning song of the inaugural PLN in 1989.

After almost five years, Wisin & Yandel hit the stage of PLN to sing together again. The dynamic duo was recognized for their musical career by Alejandro Fernandez and Olga Tañon.

Son by Four vocalist Angel Lopez returned to the stage alongside Piso 21, and Laura Pausini presented her new single “Nadie Ha Dicho” with Sergio George on piano.

Celebrated singer-songwriter Ricardo Montaner delighted the audience singing his popular romantic ballads with his daughter Evaluna Montaner and sons Mau y Ricky.

PLN30 had the most television premieres in its history, including “Dura” by Daddy Yankee, who participated in three musical numbers this year.

J Balvin teamed up with Brazilian singer Anitta and Aruban newcomer Jeon for a spectacular performance of his latest hit “Machika.” Maluma and Brazil’s Nego do Borel performed for the first time on TV their new hit “Corazón.” Other surprise first-time collaborations included Alejandro Fernández with Los Tigres del Norte; Bad Bunny and J Balvin, and Ozuna with Romeo Santos.

Olga Tañon ended the night on a high note alongside Chyno Miranda, got the audience dancing to her new hit “Como en Las Vegas.”

'Premio Lo Nuestro' will honor Emilio and Gloria Estefan and celebrate artists of the past, present and future

This year “Premio Lo Nuestro a la Música Latina” (PLN30) honors and celebrates the top and most popular Latin music artists of the past and present, reliving and re-imagining the legendary sounds of the last three decades.

In a historic night that showcases what has made Latin music “lo nuestro” (ours), Univision raises the bar by celebrating legends together with today’s megastars and future chart-toppers making global waves via streaming and social media to create one-of-a-kind moments. On the PLN stage, global music has debuted, first-time collaborations have been unveiled, Latin music has been recognized and honored, and generations of listeners have been united around the world.

Among the confirmed artists for the PLN30 gala night include Grammy award-winning power couple Emilio and Gloria Estefan  will bring the crowd to their feet in recognition of their    contributions. Surprise guests will pay living tribute to their songs that traveled the world and opened doors for generations to follow. The Estefan's have a total of 12 PLN awards, including PLN’s  Excellence Award.

Reunited for the first time on TV, legendary urban music stars  Wisin & Yandel will perform on the PLN30 stage, where they have received over a dozen PLN awards. This amazing reunion will be an unforgettable performance of hits and new songs alike which will kick-off their upcoming world tour.  

PLN30’s stage will also welcome world-renowned artist, chart-topper and eight-time PLN award-winner J Balvin, marking the TV debut of his latest hit “Machika.” J Balvin will perform with Brazilian singing and social media sensation Anitta, and Aruban producer, singer and songwriter Jeon, both taking the PLN stage for the first time.

The list of big names for the celebration continues with the return of renowned singer Alejandro Fernandez premiering a new song; all-time popular pop/ballad global superstar Ricardo Montaner,  who appeared in PLN’s first broadcast, will perform some of his biggest hits; banda music favorite Banda MS will bring their mega streaming hit to TV for the first time;  and Intocable will perform an all-time fan favorite.

Plus, hailing from Colombia, Piso 21 will give new life to a classic Latin hit; and Silvestre Dangond will continue making memorable moments at PLN with a performance of his new hit single as well as a tribute to the first song ever awarded at PLN. 

The power of Latina women will also be present in another PLN30 first. Powerhouse singers Natalia Jimenez, Natti  Natasha  and Victoria ‘La Mala’, along with Olga Tañón, come together across generations, nationalities and music genres in a striking musical performance celebrating the power and beauty of diverse women, as well as Tañón’s distinguished musical career, which includes 30 PLN awards.

The star-studded gala will open with a performance produced by 18-time Grammy and Latin Grammy award-winning producer  Sergio George. George, who has worked with music icons such as Celia Cruz, La India, Marc Anthony, Prince Royce, and Jesse & Joy, will bring together several artists to the stage for an epic musical experience blending diverse sounds, styles and rhythm that will represent generations, genres and cultures in one musical explosion. All these artists join previously announced artists  Ozuna, Bad Bunny, Romeo Santos, Olga Tañon and Victoria ‘La Mala’.

CNCO top winners at 'Premios Tu Mundo'

The sixth annual “Premios Tu Mundo” took place this past Thursday in Downtown Miami despite the rainy conditions. The all boy band CNCO was the top winner this year with three awards - Favorite Pop Artist and Party-Starting Song by iHeartRadio for their collaboration with Yandel, “Hey DJ.” In addition, their loyal fans, the CNCOwners, earned the group the Fan Club of the Year award.

CNCO also performed one of their top hits "Hey DJ".

An emotional 'Premios Tu Mundo' - "Valiente" dedicated to Venezuela

This year's "Premios Tu Mundo" 2017 was full of positive messages and emotional moments conveyed in speeches and songs. Host Daniel Sarcos, a Venezuelen himself, choked as he tried to introduce the next performance that was dedicated to Venezuela. Surrounded by powerful imagery, singer Nacho, Luis Enrique, and Olga Tañon performed “Valiente,” as a show of solidarity with the current plight of the Venezuelan people.

Aracely Arambula "Premios Tu Mundo" 2017 top favorite

Music and television stars converged Thursday night during a special evening to celebrate their achievements at Telemundo’s “Premios Tu Mundo” (Your World Awards) held at American Airlines Arena in Downtown, Miami. 

Actress Aracely Arambula stepped onto the stage as the night’s biggest winner in the television/novelas  (Spanish soap operas) categories. Arambula, won the Favorite Lead Actress award for her role in “La Doňa,” and, along with David Chocarro, received The Perfect Couple award.
